Warping (part distortion)
Symptoms
The corners or edges of the printed object lift off the print bed and curl upward. Warping occurs especially often with large flat areas or materials like ABS.
Causes
- Uneven cooling of the material
- Print bed temperature too low
- Poor adhesion to the print bed
- Drafts or cold environment
Solutions
- Increase print bed temperature (material-dependent)
- Optimize heated bed and part cooling settings
- Use brim or raft
- Use enclosed build chamber
- Clean print bed (isopropyl alcohol) or use adhesion aids
